Yes - супер! Чтото сейчас все запали на арт-роковых группах, Jethro Tull приезджают, на форуме обсуждают ELP и Yes, может оные услышат наши молитвы и приедут тоже, хотябы Lake, Yes к нам приезжали а я прозевал черт! Приехали бы есче, или Вейкман один!
Слышал байку про Вейкмана, что он поступил в консерваторию и его от туда выгнали за БЕЗДАРНОСТЬ!!!! через год он снова поступил туда и доучился с горем пополам, короче был круглым троечником! Тем не менее кокой он сейчас!
А ещё слышал что шоу на его концертах не хуже Флоидовских!

A joint tour featuring several Yes members' side projects is in the works. The proposed trek may include drummer Alan White's outfit White, bassist Chris Squire's 1960s group the Syn and a solo set by guitarist Steve Howe.
In other news, the release date of Yes' 35th Anniversary Concert -- Songs From Tsongas DVD has been pushed back to June 21.

Veteran rock outfit Yes is readying vintage live recordings for summer release. It's a three-disc collection spanning 1970 sessions with the BBC's John Peel to a 1988 show in Houston.

The majority of Rhino's "The Word Is Live," due Aug. 23, is comprised of previously unreleased Yes concert recordings that add up to nearly four hours of performance. The only tracks not making their debut here are the songs "Then" and "For Everyone" from Peel's show that open the first disc.

Among the notable cuts is an 18-minute version of "Awaken" recorded in 1979 in Chicago and "The Big Medley," an epic performance that finds every member of the band soloing in Los Angeles in 1978.

Fans will find material played by the band's original lineup of singer Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, drummer Bill Bruford, keyboardist Tony Kaye and guitarist Peter Banks. The collection also offers contributions from many others who have graced the ranks of Yes through the years: guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Rick Wakeman, drummer Alan White, keyboardist Patrick Moraz, vocalist Trevor Horn, keyboardist Geoff Downes and guitarist Trevor Rabin.

Yes frontman Jon Anderson will release his first solo DVD, Tour of the Universe, on July 11. The disc, which was recorded at a U.S. radio studio, will feature 21 performances, including new songs, previously unreleased tunes and Yes classics. In other news, Anderson will embark on an overseas tour that currently is mapped out from a Sept. 1 engagement in Tel Aviv, Israel, through a final Oct. 16 date in Reykjavik, Iceland.

Yes drummer Alan White's side project White plan on releasing their debut album July 18. The group, which also features Asia/ex-Yes keyboardist Geoffrey Downes, will be one of the acts on the previously reported More Drama Tour, along with Yes guitarist Steve Howe and bassist Chris Squire's reunited pre-Yes band the Syn. Elektra is putting together a 3CD set that will chronicle Yes' 2 decades of concert performances. The set will feature nearly 4 hours of mostly unreleased performances spanning the period of 1970-1988. Many of the tracks have been compiled from Steve Howe's personal collection of recorded concert performances. Disc 1 will feature a 1971 Sweden performance of "Astral Traveller" and a 1971 London performance of "I've Seen All Good People." Disc 2 starts with 3 1976 Cobo Hall (Detroit) performances that include "Siberian Khatru" and "Apocalypse." Disc 2 also offers a 25-minute medley that includes "Time and a Word," "Long Distance Runaround," "Survival," "The Fish," "Perpetual Change," and "Soon" from a 1978 LA Forum show. Disc 3 begins with a 1978 Oakland performance of "Heart of the Sunrise" and a 1979 Chicago (I was at this show, 16 rows back from the stage) performance of "Awaken." There's also a Chicago performance of "Roundabout." Included in the set is a 56-page booklet that have photos, liner notes, and essays. The cover art is designed by band favourite, Roger Dean. The entire set will be issued in a Digi-Style Box. You can expect this gem on August 23.

В буклете обнаружил вариант - это может также слышаться Tell The Moon Dog, tell the March Hare, что мне нравится больше. Наверное, из-за ассоциации с кэролловской Алисой и Безумным чаепитием.

Yes drummer Alan White is among the musicians who will perform at a John Lennon tribute concert in Seattle on Dec. 8 to mark the 25th anniversary of the Beatles legend's death. John Lennon Jam will raise money for the Seattle-based Northwest Harvest hunger-relief organization and (Just Like) Starting Over, a Lennon-inspired play that's scheduled to premiere in September 2006.

Если раньше мне часто казалось, что у Yes амбиции инструменталистов погребают под собой музыку как таковую, приводят к неоправданной композиционной усложненности (или просто запутанности), тот тут другой случай - все три сюиты хорошо продуманы, и нет ощущения, что составляющие их отдельные музыкальные фрагменты просто подогнаны один к другому, напротив, они как-то очень естественно сменяют друг друга.

Продуманная музыкальная драматургия. Хорошая работа.

Тут многое зависит от слушателя (я это о "неоправданной композиционной усложнённости").Т.е. готов ли он,слушатель.Я одному коллеге с целью ознакомления с сабжем как-то "Talk" подкинул как наиболее композиционно "олегчённый" в основном.Вернули со словами:"да,жутко сложно и навороченно":-)).

Послушал Tomorrow. Очень понравилось. Есть и психоделия, и Rolling Stones, и будущий Yes, и, главное, музыка! Хорошо!-))))))))))))))))
