Stevie Nicks recorded new vocals for a remixed version of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" that will appear on George Is On, the upcoming album by house-music duo Deep Dish. "We worked with [Nicks] for a couple of days," recalls Deep Dish's Sharam Tayebi. "It was a very surreal experience -- hanging out with history." The CD is due July 18.

У нас в городе существует передачка - "Легенды" называется (концерты с DVD). До предела возмутил тот факт, что ведущий ни словом не упомянул Питера Грина, сказав лишь, что "группа ведёт свою историю с 60-х, вначале принадлежа к хард-роковому (!) направлению". По-моему явная чушь. Лично для меня Fleetwood умерли с уходом Грина, превратившись в весьма коммерчески успешную, но тем не менее пустую и непритязательную поп-группу. А как думаете вы?

А по моему одна из лучщих в своём жанре (софт-рок).Другое дело-отношение к этому жанру.

Да, тут каждому свое. Лично мне FM конца 60-х-начала 70-х была группой интересной, но уж очень тоскливо-занудной, несмотря на целую гроздь шедевров, которыми она себя обессмертила. Реинкарнация группы в середине 70-х, появление потрясающего женского вокала я воспринял на ура, но это была совершенно другая музыка. Возвращение в конце 90-х Пита Грина в музыку в составе Splinter Group я, безусловно, приветствую, но это уже третья музыка. Шедевров пока что не видно, но подождем. Сильно разочаровало воссоединение давно было уже рапавшейся на сольные проекты Fleetwod Mac образца середины 70-х (альбом "Say You Will" 2003 года). Заметно хуже, чем раньше, хотя стиль тот же. IMHO.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jeremy Spencer will release his first album in more than two decades, "Precious Little," July 18 via Blind Pig.

One of the founding members of Fleetwood Mac, Spencer released his last solo set, "Flee," in 1979. He has performed in public only a handful of times since then, but did recently aid former bandmate Mick Fleetwood and his solo band on the latter's "Something Big" album.

The 57-year-old Brit abruptly left the pre-Buckingham/Nicks incarnation of Fleetwood Mac in 1971 to join the religious group Children Of God.

Я люблю как гриновский Мэк, так и поздний. Просто это разная музыка. Никогда не слушал сольников Бэкингема. Что стоить купить?
Кстати, в 1972 (или 1973 году, не помню) Джон Лорд купил орган Hammond у Кристин. Когда после выхода Rumours она разбогатела, то попыталась вернуть инструмент. Не вышло. :-) Этот орган прослужил в Deep Purple до 2001 года.
