AMONG THE Beatles, John Lennon memorabilia is the most collectable and the
items for sale at TaylorТs on Saturday include the morning suit John Lennon
wore in A Hard DayТs Night.
There is the original affidavit Paul McCartney sent to Alan Klein, John
Lennon, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, in which he outlined his grievances
with the group. Also in the sale is a photograph signed by the Fab Four, the
gold disc the group received in 1964 for A Hard DayТs Night and the silver
disc for Baby ItТs You.
Among almost 150 lots is a large canvas backdrop used when filming a
television programme and signed by Blur band members, an acoustic guitar
signed by Liam and Noel Gallagher, a guitar signed by members of Guns ТNТ
Roses, Marti PellowТs crushed velvet suit from Wet, Wet WetТs 1996 tour and
a pink stage suit worn by Sir Cliff Richard.
Gold and silver discs by the Rolling Stones, Blondie, Michael and Janet
Jackson and Madonna feature, along with memorabilia relating to Tom Jones,
Queen, Abba, Paul Weller, the Boomtown Rats, Billy Idol, The Jam, Eric
Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan.
