In the UK, EMI reissues all of the Beatles' original studio albums, except Abbey Road and The Beatles, in mono. These versions were deleted back in 1979.
1983
Old Wave released in Canada, Japan and South America.
1984
The "Art Of The Beatles" Exhibition, portraying 30 years of the group in the form of cartoons, paintings, photographs, album covers, lithographs and sculptures, continues.
1986
The stage play "Lennon" closes at the Astoria Theatre in London because the production company, Lupton Theatre Company, has crashed.
1987
"Let It Be" by Ferry Aid number 1 (Oricon Hot Singles Chart).
1988
In Cologne, West Germany, the "Art Of The Beatles" exhibition is showcased during the "Liverpool On The Rhine" festival.
1989
Paul and his band travel to Barcelona, Spain to appear on the TVE program "La Luna". They perform the songs "My Brave Face"; "Distractions"; "We Got Married" and "This One". A brief interview, subtitled in Spanish, also is transmitted.
1994
Paul, George, Ringo and their wives again visit the vegetarian restaurant in Chiswick. They discuss further work to be done on the "Anthology" project.
1995
Filming of the "Anthology" special shifts to the Silverstone racetrack in Northamptonshire where George is filmed driving his 1966 red psychedelic mini. The scenes are added to appear during the "Magical Mystery Tour" sequence.
In the US, the film "Backbeat" premieres on the Showtime pay cable network.
1996
Yoko and Sean, backed by IMA, perform at the LA2 venue in London.
The documentary "The Fame Game", depicting the history of Paul's LIPA project, is broadcast on BBC1.
1997
Ringo's concert at Jones Beach Amphitheater, Wantaugh, New York.
1998
A memorial service for Linda McCartney is held at St. Martin-In-The-Fields Church, in London's Trafalgar Square. The service is covered in the UK by Sky News, BBC, ITN, Channel 4 and Channel 5.
1999
"Musik" magazine names the Beatles' song "Tomorrow Never Knows" as "one of the pioneers of modern dance music.
Paul's art exhibition at the Kunstforum Lyz in Hamburg with 75 of his 500 private paintings.

After months of secrecy surrounding Sir Paul McCartney's wedding plans were blown when John Leslie the owner of the 17th century Castle Leslie in Co Monaghan, let slip to reporters that Sir Paul had booked the Castle for the wedding.

James McCartney performs in concert at Relix Variety Theatre, Knoxville, TN (US Tour).
The exhibit Linda McCartney retrospective is displayed at the Kunst Haus Wien in Vienna, Austria. The new exhibition is the first comprehensive retrospective of Linda McCartney’s work featuring 190 of her iconic photographs.
2014
