"Melody Maker" publishes Paul's interview with Chris Charlesworth from November 10, 1971. Titled "Why Lennon Is Uncool", Paul expresses his feelings about the Beatles, John, the Bangla Desh concert and live shows, among other things.
In New York, John prepares a reply upon reading the interview.

George performs in concert at the St. Louis Arena, St. Louis, Missouri ("North American Tour").

On NBC-TV's "Saturday Night Live" in New York, the show opens with George asking Lorne Michaels about the $3,000 Beatles reunion money. George performs "Here Comes The Sun" and "Homeward Bound" with Paul Simon. John and Paul are watching the show from Lennon's Dakota apartment.

11:30am. Savoy Hotel, London. Press conference for over 100 media, one per country, on occasion of the release of Anthology 1, given by George Martin, Jeff Lynne and Neil Aspinall.
Radio Zero premieres "Free As A Bird" for Chile, airing the song from London via telephonic line.
During the first hours of the day, copies of Anthology 1 are taken on planes hired by EMI, leaving from an airport in Holland to be distributed to various countries.
In the US, Ringo appears, via satellite from Monte Carlo, on the ABC TV show "Good Morning America".

Paul videotapes an appearance on the ABC TV show "Oprah".
At the Village Recorders Studio in Los Angeles, Ringo records backing vocals for the tracks "Without Understanding" and "Drift Away".

At a special charity auction event at the IndigO2 at The O2 a 10ft tall hand- painted Les Paul guitar replica signed by Paul McCartney became the main attraction of the night. After a competitive bidding war, the guitar was eventually auctioned off for an amazing £60,000. Paul’s guitar was designed by visual artist Rosie Brooks.
2013
Original cartoons cels for the Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" film go up for sale at Heritage Auctions in Los Angeles. The drawings are expected to fetch £125,000.
