Джон Леннон в интервью превозносит таланты Фила Спектора:
ROCK 'N' ROLL⠀
JL: "Normally, I sort of sit at the desk with him (Phil Spector). On this album, the rock 'n' roll thing, 1-1 just was the singer ... I didn't even go in to see if they got the sound, you know, which I'd never done since the early days.
And to see him working was just an incredible experience, to see him being Phil Spector, not Phil Spector with John Lennon or Phil Spector with George Harrison - but Phil Spector - was an incredible thing, because he's a master, you know?
There's no way to describe it - how he performs these great dances and goes through these great theatrics to get the music how it is. He likes to keep everybody off balance, so the focus is always on him until the tape's on, and even then he's shouting through the glass!" ⠀
