Кушают? Не знаю, не пробовал))) А вот слушать приходится, причем, с большим удовольствием! Если Вас интересует музыкальная составляющая этой группы - в ближайшее время попробую рассказать о них в "Моем (нашем) виниле".

Размещенное мною фото (см.выше), это всего лишь добродушная провокация, призванная всколыхнуть притихшую (прикорнувшую) джэнезисолюбивую общественность. В теме про "5 лучших групп(исполнителей) 70-х" я увидел список пятерки лучших состоящий из... пяти Джэнесисов, который заставил меня призадуматься. Но список из 10 лучших в 70-е, состоящий из одного имени - GENESIS, заставил меня густо покраснеть, ведь при всем уважении к этому имени, я, после некоторых раздумий, набрал только пятерку, причем только трое из них работали в отведенный отрезок времени (70-е)!

Вот так мог бы выглядеть на мой взгляд список лучших GENESIS'ов всех времен и народов:

1 место - GENESIS английский, за чудесные ранние альбомы, и тот шок (в хорошем смысле), который произвели на меня, в свое время, пластинки начала 80-х ("Abacab" и "Genesis" 1983 года)!
2 место - GENESIS колумбийский (одна из пластинок на верхнем снимке), за "безбашенный" подход к рок музыке!
3 место - GENESIS американский, за великолепный психоделический (и единственный) альбом из 1968 года!
4 место - GENESIS уругвайский, за единственный, но очень редкий и коллекционный, альбом из 1972 года. Слышать не доводилось, но уважаю!!!(на снимке обложка этой пластинки).
5 место - GENESIS - единственный альбом рэп-группы из 2003 года. Хотя мой интерес к рэпу угас где-то в середине 90-х, но должен же кто-то замыкать этот своеобразный хит-парад!?!?

Огромное спасибо!

Мне как раз ужасно интересно всё, что возникало вокруг канонического имени. То то у меня есть давно и надолго. А теперь я время от времени гляжу за тем, что возникает вокруг. Куча групп, которые называются именами песен Genesis и даже именами героев: Rael, For Absent Friends, Submarine, Happy The Man и т.п.
Никакого снобизма. Просто интересно.-))))))))))

There’s been a lot of speculation/rumors in some Latin American newspapers (Rolling Stone Latin America) and on the official forum about apparent negotiations with the band to play several countries in South America in early 2008. Australia and New Zealand have also been added to the mix suggesting that the tour will be extended into next year. If this turns out to be the case, then it might mean good news for those states in the US that were missed off this year’s itinerary.

Genesis to release expanded versions of classic albums
The reunited band offer up a host of extras

Genesis are to release expanded versions of their biggest-selling albums later this year.

Between them, 'Genesis' (1983), 'Invisible Touch' (1986), 'We Can't Dance' (1991) and 'Calling All Stations' (1997) sold over 40 million copies on CD alone.

The albums will be all be re-released in 5.1 surround sound and stereo mixes and will be on SACD/CD hybrid and DVD dual disc sets containing bonus material exclusive to each release.

Among the DVD extra are videos, tour documentaries and interviews.

A box set containing all of the expanded albums and an extra CD featuring rarities called 'Extra Tracks 1983-1997' is released on the same day.

Genesis recently completed a sold-out reunion tour of Europe, where they played to over a million people, and will perform dates in North America later this year.

THE STORY OF GENESIS is told in Chapter & Verse by Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett, and Mike Rutherford, with the help of Anthony Phillips. Опять я про своё. Вот прислали мне песенку Carpet Crowl записанную в 1999 году. На вокале Габриель и Коллинз. Откуда она взялась. Кстати, подобная версия этой песни есть и на ДВД The Videos. Значит собирались они втихаря, для того, чтобы переписать для архива Ламб Лайс.
И ещё пираты выпустили супер аудио СиДи и ДВД, дык на диске 78 года вложен ДВД Wind & Wuthering

Я читал - кажется на официальном сайте Genesis), что в 1999 году они записывали новую версию этой песни и что существует 3 версии вокала: 1)Коллинз, 2)Габриель и 3)один куплет Коллинз, второй куплет Габриель.
Думаю, что они это делали в процессе подготовки Архива.

Genesis 1983-1998 is a boxed set of four studio albums by Genesis. It will be released on 4 September 2007 in Europe by EMI. Rhino Records will release it, in conjunction with the band's US label Atlantic Records, in North America in November. The 5-CD/5-DVD boxed set includes newly remixed versions of the albums Genesis, Invisible Touch, We Can't Dance, and Calling All Stations. A fifth CD includes B-sides tracks. я плякаль.. получил я этот ДВД, тока у меня есть и стерео и 5.1. Два диска. Иногда пропадает звук.
у тебя тоже так?

Слушай, у меня тоже оказывается стерео. Сегодня кинул диск в ВВК и там только один звук, а сраный Норман(за 50 баксов) делает из этого стерео настоящий 5.1
я в шоке.
А на счёт пропадания на секунды звука что скажешь? У тебя тоже так?
а ты заметил, что Коллинз стал петь так, как пел в период 75-78 годов? То есть не орёт
